Participation in the 14th EARSeL Workshop on Imaging Spectroscopy

From 2 to 4 June 2026, members of our team participated in the 14th EARSeL Workshop on Imaging Spectroscopy, hosted by Aalto University in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland. The international workshop brought together researchers, students and professionals working with spaceborne, airborne, field and laboratory spectroscopy and spectral modelling. It focused on recent advances in imaging spectroscopy and its applications in environmental monitoring and Earth observation.

Our team contributed to the workshop with three presentations:

  • Assessing Spatiotemporal Variability of Forest Functional Traits Using Airborne Hyperspectral and Sentinel-2 Data – oral presentation
Adenan Yandra Nofrizal, Petr Lukeš, Marian Švik, Lucie Červená, Zuzana Lhotáková, Eva Neuwirthová, Jana Albrechtová and Lucie Kupková
  • Mapping Urban Land Cover with a Focus on Detecting Asbestos-Cement Roofing and Other Anthropogenic Surfaces Using Imaging and Laboratory Spectroscopy – poster presentation
    Mojmír Polák and Lucie Kupková
  • Monitoring Expansive Species in the Krkonoše Mountains Using Multi-resolution Hyperspectral Image Data – poster presentation
Lucie Kupková, Lucie Červená, Vít Ježek, Jakub Lysák, Adam Kulich, Markéta Potůčková, Záboj Hrázský and Stanislav Březina
